Chairman of the Board of Directors
Bülent Yurdalan graduated from Eskişehir Academy of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Kütahya Faculty of Management Sciences in 1980. He started his banking career at Pamukbank in 1982 and worked for Citibank Turkey between the years 1983-1988.
He joined QNB A.Ş. in 1988 and worked, respectively, at branch operation, Inspection Board, Treasury Operation, General Accounting, Internal Audit departments and held executive positions at various foreign and domestic Fiba Group banks. Yurdalan started working as General Manager at QNB Bank Malta in 2001 and moved to Fibabank A.Ş. as Deputy General Manager in 2002.
After working as the Chair of the Inspection Board between 2003 and 2011, Yurdalan served as Deputy General Manager of Retail Credits Monitoring and Advisor to the Board of Directors at QNB between the years 2011-2013. Since October 2013, he has been serving as the Head of Internal Systems at QNB.
Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors
He graduated from METU Business Administration Department with an undergraduate degree in 1990. He earned a Master’s degree on Finance at City University and worked at Türk Eximbank and Demirbank A.Ş. from 1995 to 1997. He was appointed as International Markets Manager at QNB A.Ş the same year and worked as the Group Manager of International Markets between 1998 and 2000. After serving in various executive positions at the Treasury Department, he has served as QNB Bank Treasury Deputy General Manager as of August, 2008.
Board Member
Karagöz started her professional life as an auditor in 1998 and from 1999 to 2008 she served in various positions at the Retail Banking Department of Citibank, such as Strategy, Sales and Assets Banking and High-Income Clients segment management.
In 2008, she was appointed to Barclays Emerging Markets Dubai regional office as an executive in charge of Premier Banking and investment products. At Barclays, she worked on new penetration strategies, product development, client value management and strategic channel management in 14 countries she was in charge of.
She served as an executive manager responsible for sales and marketing of asset banking, investment, insurance and mortgage products during the re-structuring period of Mashreqbank in the period 2011-2012. Between 2012 and 2015, Karagöz worked as Director in charge of strategy, marketing and business development at Deloitte Turkey. From 2015 to 2018 she worked as Deputy General Manager in charge of QNB Invest Retail and Asset Management. She has been working as General Manager since February 2018.
Pamir Karagöz earned an undergraduate degree from METU Business Administration Department and a graduate degree on business administration from the University of Chicago Booth Business School.
Esen Pamir Karagöz holds a Capital Markets Operations Level 3 License.
Independent Board Member
Ölçer started his professional life at Citibank N.A. in 1981. He worked at Citibank New York office in 1981-1983 and as Deputy Manager at Citibank Istanbul in 1983-1985.
He was a Manager at Manufacturers Hanover Trust Co. from 1985 to 1986 and Group Finance Coordinator at Edpa Marketing A.Ş. between from 1986 to 1989. He worked as Treasury and Foreign Relations Deputy General Manager at Interbank A.Ş. in 1989-1998 and was appointed as General Manager of Interbank A.Ş. in 1998. He was the Investment Projects and Finance Coordinator at Tekfen Holding A.Ş. between the years 1999-2001 and CFO of Boyner Holding A.Ş. from 2001 to 2012. He has been the founder and partner of International Business Partners Finansal Danışmanlık Ltd Şirketi since 2012.
Ölçer was Advisor and Member of the Board of Directors at Tatko Türk Anonim Şirketi between the years 1999-2001, and a member of the Board of Directors at Edip Gayrimenkul Yatırım Ortaklığı A.Ş. between 2015 and 2016 and at Boyner Holding A.Ş. from 2012 until 2015. He has been a member of the Board of Directors at Söktaş Holding A.Ş since 2011 and at Saray Holding A.Ş. since 2017.
Ölçer graduated from Middlebury College Department of Economics and completed his Master’s degree on finance at Columbia University Graduate School of Business in 1982.
